OLD EARTH PARABLE.
Once upon a time there lived a prosperous lot.
They enjoyed all their richness and ridiculed all those who were poor and weak.
Then came upon them an old man from the poor lot.
He told them to change their ways for they would bring upon them all God's wrath.
The rich laughed aloud and claimed that God was with them because even God was rich.
To prove to the old man that God indeed was with them, the rich folk took the poor old man upon a mountain.
There stood a soiltary tree upon the top.
The rich folk told the poor man that they all would go and stand under the tree, one by one, and if the God was not with the man under the tree then a bolt of lightening would strike the tree and would kill the man.
One by one the rich folk went and stood under the tree but God did not strike.
Last came the turn of the poor old man to go and stand under the tree.
As the poor old man walked up to the tree, the skies began to roar with thunder.
All the rich folk laughed in mirth as they always did.
Then the poor old man reached the tree and as soon as he stood under the tree, a huge and powerful bolt of lightening came out from the skies and struck all the rich folk upon the mountain.
